The Mr British Isles 2023/24 Competition Rules for finalists are as follows:

 

The judge’s decision is final and correspondences from contestants will not be entered into.

Contestants legal gender must be male.

Contestants must disclose their legal name as stated on their passport and Birth Certificate.

Contestants must be aged 16 years old and above on the day of the National Final.

Contestants must have the right to work in the UK.

Contestants must live within the British Isles.

Contestants must not have a criminal record or have anything in their background that could bring the contest or its sponsors into disrepute.

Finalists are responsible for people they bring to the event or associate with the event including parents, friends, sponsors and guests. Good behaviour and sportsmanship, is expected from all finalists, parents, guests and sponsors at all times when at any part of the competition or anything associated with the competition. Any persons associated with the contestant that causes disruption or problem at any part of the event will lead to the disqualification of the finalist. No refund will be given under these circumstances.

Where finalists are offered a direct entry place in the National Final and opt for the two-payment option, if the second payment is not paid on time, 1 month after the first payment, then they will not be permitted to take part in the National Final. They will lose their place in the event and they will be transferred to the next semi-final, which may be the following year.

Finalists are not permitted to use any online fundraising services such as Go Fund Me or Just Giving to raise the entry fee or any other costs for the competition.

Finalists or their family must not be involved in the running, assisting, organising, promotion, fundraising or management of any other modelling competition or pageant, without advanced written permission The Mr British Isles Organisation.

Contestants are not permitted to take part in the competition if they are a current title holder of another pageant or modelling competition and have not yet handed over the title, without advanced written permission from The Mr British Isles Organisation.

Contestants must not have a verbal or written contract with any type of agency, manager / management company or other model competition / pageant organiser that forbids them to work with The Mr British Isles Organisation should they become the titleholder.

The Mr British Isles Organisation will only deal directly with the contestant and not through any third party.

Contestants will permit The Mr British Isles Organisation and their licensees the right to use contestant’s photographs for publicity purposes in connection with all Mr British Isles competitions.

All prizes won by contestants are strictly non-exchangeable or transferable. The Mr British Isles Organisation reserves the right to amend and replace competition prizes without prior notice with a prize of similar value.

All fees paid for and to The Mr British Isles Organisation are not refundable and not transferrable in full or in part under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to entry fees, advertising fees, sponsorship, tickets, guest meal fees and any other fees paid to the organisers of the event by anyone including, but not limited to, contestants, sponsors, guests and advertisers.

Contestants must ensure that the information given on the entry is true and factual and the photographs used for entry are recent and of a clear likeness to their current look. Contestants found to have given false personal information or clearly out of date photos will be removed from the competition. The organisers have the right to replace these contestants and no refund will be given.

Finalists and their family must make and pay for their own travel arrangements. The Mr British Isles Organisation is not responsible for arranging travel or intervening / resolving disputes involving travel to the competition.

The date/venue of the competition is subject to change and in such a case, the entrant is not eligible for a refund.

The Mr British Isles Organisation are not responsible for negligence, fraud or failure to deliver on the part of the competition sponsors, judges, photographers, or any hotel who may be providing products, prizes or services to contestants

The Mr British Isles Organisation or any of its employees or sub-contractors shall not be held liable for any mishaps, accidents, injuries or loss of property that may arise during the competition.

Social Media, Online & Press release guidelines

 

Contestants should be very careful when posting on social media not to cause offence.

All Finalists in Mr British Isles should put on all their social media bios that they are a finalist using the wording - Finalist @mrbritishisles

Finalists must not put just the words Mr British Isles in their social media bios as this implies that they are the current title holder.

Finalists should promote their involvement in the competition in their local area and on social media.

All press/media releases and online stories must be approved by The Mr British Isles Organisation before being sent out to the media. The term media means magazines, newspapers, websites, magazines and social media pages. Finalists must use the Official press release pack and photo wearing the sash.

Press releases must be restricted to the area on the finalist’s sash to include the Geographical County. Finalists must not contact National / International / Regional media and magazines without discussing it and getting approval from The Mr British Isles Organisation.

The Mr British Isles 2023/24 Competition Rules for the winner are as follows:

The National winner will be required to confirm that they meet the rules of the contest and provide proof of age in the form of an original birth certificate or passport.  

The winner must not get a criminal record or do anything while the title holder that could bring the contest or its sponsors into disrepute.

The winner of the Mr British Isles title understands that until they hand over the title, their professional affairs as Mr British Isles will be under the sole management of The Mr British Isles Organisation and /or their licensees.

The winner must not have or while the winner, entered into a verbal or written contract with any type of agency, manager / management company or other model competition/pageant organiser that forbids them to work with The Mr British Isles Organisation should they become the titleholder.

The Mr British Isles Organisation will only deal directly with the winner and not through any third party. If the winner signs any agreement that stops this then they will lose the title and all the prizes.

The winner also confirms that they will not give any written, verbal or photographic endorsements commercially as Mr British Isles without the written permission of The Mr British Isles Organisation.  

The winner further acknowledges that any appearances, endorsements, modelling, promotions, speaking engagements, acting roles etc will be organised by The Mr British Isles Organisation.

The National winner must attend the next year’s semi finals and the final to hand over the title to the new winner.

The National winner must not enter any other modelling competitions or pageants until he hands over the Mr British Isles title without the written permission of The Mr British Isles Organisation.

The winner must have the right to work in the UK.

The winner must live within the British Isles for the duration of the title except for normal holidays. If the winner moves outside of the British Isles for a period of more than 6 weeks while holding the title, the Mr British Isles Organisation reserve the right to withdraw the title and prizes.

As the main prizes are the modelling contract / photo-shoots for which the winner will be paid, it is an absolute requirement that the winner does not change their winning look. This includes, changing of hair colour, major change in hairstyle or the use of cosmetic procedures or filers. The winning look must be maintained throughout the period of the title unless agreed in writing with The Mr British Isles Organisation prior to any change.

The National winner must be available for all personal appearances and modelling / promotional contracts offered to them by The Mr British Isles Organisation and their associate clients and agents until they hand over the title.

The National winner agrees to do a combined total of 10 personal appearances and photo-shoots as Mr British Isles as part of the modelling contract which is part and included in the prize.

The prize will be paid in 3 stages and will be paid in full once the winner’s obligations are completed. 

The winner agrees to accept / participate in all his prizes.

All prizes won by the winner are strictly non-exchangeable or transferable. The Mr British Isles Organisation reserve the right to amend and replace competition prizes without prior notice with a prize of similar value.

The National winner agrees to have photographs taken with all of their prizes for use by the sponsors. These photographs may also be published on the Mr British Isles websites, social media and the press.

 

Social Media, Online & Press release guidelines

 

The winner of Mr British Isles must not be photographed in any type of underwear or unsuitable clothing in any photograph to promote the event or when using the Mr British Isles sash, name or hashtag.

The winner should be very careful when posting on social media not to cause offence.

The winner must post photos from the official appearances and photo-shoots on their social media with the relevant social media tags.

The winner must state on all their social media bios that they are Mr British Isles 2023/24 with the tag @mrbritishisles

 

 

The event is run by Miss British Isles Ltd.

Mr British Isles and The Mr British Isles Organisation are trading names of Miss British Isles Ltd.
